Halfway between the sea and the Pyrenees, and just seventy kilometres away from Barcelona, Vic city is the demographic, administrative and services centre of a geographic area that goes beyond the limits of region of Osona.

Its long history, still present in the streets and in the places of the historical center, coexists in harmony with the new city-planning growth that shows the dynamism of a cosmopolitan city, expressed through the echo of its fairs and markets, the consolidation of the University of Vic or the growth of the industrial estates. As episcopal see and capital of the region of Osona, the city of Vic is an active part of the network of cities that structure the Catalan territory.
