The municipality of Masquefa has an extension of 17.06 km2s and belongs to the most Eastern end of the region of the Anoia. At north it borders on Hostalets de Pierola (Anoia); at south, on Sant Llorenç d'Hortons (Alt Penedès); at east, on Sant Esteve Sesrovires (Baix Llobregat); finally, at west, it borders on Piera (Anoia).
The average altitude of the town is of 256.2 meters above the level of the sea, and the highest elevation is located in the Northwest part, in the intersection of the municipality and Pierola, at 339 meters. The land is undulating, where the alluvial cuts of the washes conform torrents or precipices in the direction of the Llobregat.
8,321 inhabitants are distributed between the city centre, the Alta Beguda, Can Valls, El Maset, Can Parellada and Can Quiseró and around twenty country houses.
